Two of Hastings’ most popular visitor attractions are getting in a mischievous mood for a deeply creepy Halloween half term.
Running from Monday, October 26th to Saturday, October 31st visitors to both Smugglers Adventure and Hastings Blue Reef Aquarium will be able to join in ghostly goings-on and spooky trails.
Blue Reef are running a spot the Halloween pumpkin trail with the chance to win a child’s annual pass for the best entries. Children are also invited to come in their own frightful fancy dress outfits to join in the fiendish fun.
Scuttle along in to the aquarium’s Jungle Discovery room where you will find lots of creepy crawlies including millipedes, beetles and a tarantula. Find out the gruesome truths about these scary creatures and get the chance to handle them during daily animal encounters.
There will be a spooky colouring competition for younger visitors, appearances from Blue Reef mascot Charlie the Clownfish and on Saturday, October 31st ‘Wriggles and Giggles’ face painters will be on site between 10am – 4pm.
Meanwhile Smugglers Adventure are organising their own ghostly quiz trail around the eerie caves for younger visitors.
See if you can spot the 10 bats hidden around the caves and have you got the nerve to discover what spooky secrets are lying in wait within the Halloween Feely Box!
- Fancy dress is encouraged and there are certificates for the best dressed children through the week at both attractions. On Saturday, October 31st itself they will also be offering spooky savings of £1 off admission for up to six people at either site, just quote ‘PUMPKIN’ at admission.
