Three of Hastings’ most popular visitor attractions are set for a horribly entertaining Halloween half term.
Running from Saturday October 21st to Sunday, October 29th visitors to Smugglers Adventure, Hastings Castle and Blue Reef Aquarium, collectively known as Discover Hastings, will be able to join in ghostly goings-on and spooky trails.
Blue Reef is running a trail around the displays where guests will need to help Farmer Jenkins find all his pumpkins and youngsters are also invited to come in their own frightful fancy dress outfits to join in the fiendish fun.
Scuttle along in to the aquarium’s Jungle Discovery room to enjoy close encounters with a host of creepy crawlies including millipedes, beetles and a tarantula.
For the really courageous visitors there will be a daily handling session where you can stroke a snake or befriend a bearded dragon.
Meanwhile Smugglers Adventure is organising its own ghostly quiz trail around the eerie caves for younger visitors.
Children will look for the bats hidden around the caves and help Gary the Ghost find his friends.
There will also be a spooky colouring station and plenty of Halloween-themed goodies for sale in the gift shop. Look out for the Smugglers Adventure staff in fancy dress.
Across from Smugglers Adventure on the West Hill is Hastings Castle, where guests can help Vinnie the Vampire find his bats in the family friendly activity, as well as explore the ruins, head on down into the dungeon and watch the 20 minute video show on the Battle of Hastings.
