A breath-taking real life ‘mermaid’ is returning to Blue Reef Aquarium this Easter half term.
On Thursday April 12th, visitors can take part in a meet and greet with Mermaid Anna, a mythical and magical interactive character.
Anna last swam ashore in October to meet guests at the Rock-a-Nore Road attraction and has been welcomed back for the third time after proving popular.
As well as taking ‘shellfies’ with Mermaid Anna, guests can also learn about ocean conservation and, as part of the fun, a mermaid themed trail will also be taking place around the aquarium.
Sales and marketing executive, Leanna Lawson, said: “Mermaid Anna was so popular last time she visited us and we cannot wait to see her again.
“We hope children will love meeting a real-life mermaid during their visit and learning all about her life in the ocean.”
Blue Reef Aquarium offers incredibly close encounters with hundreds of aquatic creatures, ranging from magical seahorses and bizarre puffer fish to graceful sharks and stingrays.
As part of the visit there will be FREE face painting between 11am and 2pm, as well as regular presentations and sea themed colouring.
Mermaid Anna will be greeting guests between 11am and 3pm.
